Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pasta and Sauce:
- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Garnish:
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Chicken:
Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the cubed chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣ Combine:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Return the chicken to the skillet and mix gently to combine everything.
5️⃣ Serve:
Transfer to serving plates and garnish with fresh chopped basil. Serve immediately while hot and creamy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red chili flakes to the garlic butter while cooking the chicken.
